Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
Day 1:
Arrival to Iquitos- Traveling the Amazon River
Day 1: Iquitos City Tour and Amazon Jungle Adventure
We will pick you up from Iquitos Airport or your hotel and begin with a city tour visiting the Main Square, Main Church, Iron House, and historic mansions from the rubber boom era.
Next, we will travel by motorboat along the Itaya River to the Amazon River and continue to Cumaceba Curaka Inn Lodge. Along the way, we may spot gray and pink river dolphins.
Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink made with seasonal fruits, check into your room, and savor a typical lunch. Later, join a guided rainforest walk to discover the Amazon's rich biodiversity and learn about traditional medicinal plants, including uña de gato (cat's claw), clove vine, and sangre de grado (dragon's blood).
After dinner at the lodge, experience a guided nighttime jungle walk in search of insects, amphibians, and nocturnal birds. Return to your room for an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 2:
Discovering Jungle Wildlife: Lodge, Small village called Gallito - Lodge
Day 2: Birdwatching, Amazonian Wildlife, and Local Culture
We will start early in the morning with a guided birdwatching excursion on foot or by boat, depending on the season. Look for fascinating species such as the Hoatzin, a unique bird known for its unusual digestive system.
After breakfast at the lodge, we will visit a local family caring for animals such as boas, anacondas, sloths, and turtles. We will also explore a small artisanal sugarcane workshop, where you can learn about the extraction process and taste refreshing drinks made from fresh sugarcane juice.
In the afternoon, we will visit Gallito, a riverside village where we will learn about local traditions and daily life while sharing time with the community.
In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner around a bonfire, enjoying traditional Amazonian stories and a memorable night in the rainforest.

Lodge - Fishing in the Amazon River - Meeting the Boras Tribe - Iquitos
Day 3: Traditional Fishing, Victoria Regia, and Bora Community
After breakfast at the lodge, we will enjoy a traditional fishing experience along the Amazon River, where we may catch piranhas, catfish, and other local species. We will also admire the magnificent Victoria Regia, the world's largest water lily.
After lunch at the lodge, we will pack our belongings and begin our return journey to Iquitos. Along the way, we will visit the Bora Indigenous community to learn about their ancestral traditions, cultural practices, and way of life.
Finally, we will transfer you to Iquitos Airport or your hotel, according to your departure arrangements. End of services.
