Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

DAY 1: Cusco - Urcos - Ocongate - Tinki – Upis

On this day, we will depart early. We will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Cusco in our tourist transport and head towards the town of Tinki. Along the way, we will pass through different Andean villages (Saylla, Oropesa, Andahuaylillas, and Urcos) and enjoy beautiful landscapes of the Andes mountain range. We will make a stop for a picnic.

Continuing the journey, we will arrive at the town of Tinki, where we will get ready to begin our hike to our first campsite in the village of Upis. There, we will rest and have dinner.

DAY 2: Upis – Quinsacocha

After an early breakfast, we will get ready to begin our hike, always following our guide’s recommendations. Along the way, we will enjoy the amazing views of the mountains, surrounded by the natural beauty of southern Cusco throughout the entire journey. We will ascend to 4,500 meters above sea level, passing by Pucacocha Lake, located at the base of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain.

Later, we will pass by Quinsacocha Lake and then arrive at our second campsite, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the area. At night, we will prepare to rest and enjoy a tasty dinner.

DAY 3: Quinsacocha – Pampacahua

We will wake up early to have breakfast and continue our hike. Along the way, you will be able to observe local wildlife and enjoy beautiful landscapes that are truly pleasing to the eye. We will also see stunning turquoise lakes and cross the Palomino Pass at 4,800 meters above sea level. From this point, you can admire the magnificent mountains of the Andes, including views of the Ausangate snow-capped peak.

During the trek, we will stop for lunch and then continue until we reach our campsite in Chilcapinaya (part of the Pampacahua community), where we will enjoy dinner and rest.

DAY 4: Pampacahua - Jampa (Pachaspata)

After breakfast, we will begin our adventure by visiting the mountain villages, where we will observe local clothing, customs, and the animals they raise, among other aspects of daily life. We will also enjoy a delicious traditional Andean meal before continuing with the day’s journey.

As we continue our hike, we will pass by Ticllacocha Lake, where we will admire the stunning scenery of a lagoon nestled among the high mountains. We will then ascend to over 4,650 meters above sea level, reaching the high point at the village of Pachaspata, an ideal site to camp and enjoy the night.

DAY 5: Jampa – Pampa Pass - Pacchanta

On this day, we will continue our journey, starting with a delicious breakfast to recharge our energy. We will then descend to the village of Pacchanta, accompanied at all times by our group and guide.

Upon arrival, we will relax and enjoy the natural hot springs, known for their therapeutic properties.

We will have lunch and camp in this area.

After breakfast, we will head back to the city of Cusco, enjoying views of Andean flora and fauna along the way. Upon arriving in Urcos, we will have our final lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Cusco, where our service will come to an end.
