Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
Day 1:
Iquitos - Sailing Amazon River - Yaguas Native Community
The reception will be at the airport in Iquitos, transfer and have a brief walking tour through the streets getting to know some of the most important places (according to arrival time), and where you can learn about the historic buildings, including the grandiose construction of Rubber Barons. Then we go to the port to board the boat and sail the Amazon river, passing by floating house settlements along the way and stopping at a Paiches fishpond, and different villages that stretch along the banks of the Amazon. The Paiche (Arapaima gigas). It's one of the oldest and largest freshwater fishes in the world (they average around 7 feet).During the trip you will also see Cayman alligators and the Victoria Amazonica, the largest water lily in the world, whose leaves reach up to 3m in diameter. Upon our arrival at the botanical lodge we'll refresh ourselves with a welcoming drink made of seasonal fruits and get our room assignments.
We'll then take a walk along the medicinal plants path, where we'll observe and learn about Cat's Claw plant, Dragon's Blood (a sap from the Croton tree), Clove Vines, and other plants prized by local tribes for their curative properties. We have a typical lunch and then relax.
About 3:00pm we will have a brief walking through the jungle to reach the Yaguas Native Community, know their customs, habit, way of life. Participation of tourist to use the blowgun. Return to the lodge by boat, by the way we will look at the sunset.

Day 2:
Giant Amazon - Visit to the Riverside Hamlet
According to the season we'll have a brief walk (Jul - Nov) or boat ride (Nov - July). Birds watching in their natural hábitat. Then we have a good breakfast. Throughout the trip your guide will share with you his knowledge about the jungle's plant and animal life. Walk deep into the forest of giant trees, knowing the voluptuous and impressive Lupuna (Ceiba pentandra), Known as the giant Amazon and can reach up to 70 meters (200 feet), and a diameter of more than one meter.
We return to the Lodge. We will have a typical lunch.
In the afternoon, tour of the Amazon river and visit to San Juan Riverside Hamlet, where we have demonstration and participation of tourists in the way of life. Day 3:
Visit to the Craft Trapiche - Viewing Point
We will have a breakfast, tour of the Amazon river and visit to the Craft Trapiche, where we have demonstration and participation of tourists in the extraction of sugar cane juice that people used to make products such as cane rum and molasses. Recreational fishing on the banks of the river. Typical Lunch in Botanical Lodge. In the afternoon we will going to the Viewing Point and watch the sunset Amazonian (depending on wather conditions), to our return at Botanical Lodge we'll have a Dinner. Night at Botanical Lodge

Day 4:
Botanical Lodge - Indiana - Iquitos
We'll have a good breakfast. Throughout the trip your guide will share with you his knowledge about the jungle's plant and animal life. throughout the trip we will visit the Indiana coastal District and then we take the typical Moto taxi transportation to travel through the jungle to Mazan District on the Banks of the Napo river , the main tributary of the Amazon river in Peru.
We continue the voyage to Cumaceba Lodge. We will have a typical lunch. Return to Iquitos, transfer to hotel or airport.

This tour takes place in a tropical zone, while there is very little malaria in Iquitos, in the jungle it is very common. As a precaution please begin taking anti-malaria pills before your visit and invest in a good rub repellent.
