Day 1:
Cholitas Wrestling Showdown at El Alto
We'll pick you up at your La Paz hostel at 3:45pm and head for El Alto for the show. The wrestling is American style, but in a novel twist the fighters are the Bolivian Cholas, women in traditional Andean clothing and braids. They are part of an association known as the Titanes del Ring, whose experienced members are renowned for their showmanship and professionalism.
This exciting spectacle takes place every Sunday at 4:00pm and lasts for an exciting two and a half hours.
