Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

Day 1: Ancestral, Colonial & Contemporary Lima

The city tour will begin by picking you up from your hotel in Lima either in the morning or in the afternoon (this will depend on the time you have chosen to take the tour). The tour will be carried out on our tourist bus as we visit the main attractions of the city.

At the start of the tour, we will head toward the city center, first passing by Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca construction dating back to the 4th century, which was one of the main ceremonial centers of cultures that existed before the Incas. From the bus, we will be able to observe its pyramids, streets, and sacred enclosures, contrasting with the modern buildings that surround it today.

We will continue to the historic center of Lima, where we will visit its main squares and streets, including San Martín Square and the Main Square (Plaza Mayor), where the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Municipality of Lima are located.

To learn more about the history of Viceroyal Lima, we will visit the Church and Convent of San Francisco, famous for its beautiful altarpieces and its catacombs, a place where Franciscan monks and important authorities or notable devotees of Saint Francis were buried.

We will then continue to Larcomar, one of the largest shopping centers in Latin America, where you will find a variety of shops, restaurants, and a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean.

With this visit, we will have explored the city of Lima and experienced part of its history, from the pre-Inca period to the present day.
