Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

Day 1: Cusco - Puerto Maldonado - Monkey Island

His arrival in the city of Puerto Maldonado will be according to the scheduled time, this city as known as  Peru`s Biodiversity Capital, reception and transfer to the city. Visit the market and depending of  time we will enjoy lunch in the city or at the logde. To reach the Inn we'll have to travel along the Madre de Dios River for around an hour.  At the Inn everyone will receive their bungalow assignments. Excursion to Monkey Island where we will see a variety of monkeys like the spider, Martin, Leon Small, Friars.
Return to the lodge, where we enjoy dinner option will make a nocturnal visit to the forest to observe and hear insects and frogs of various colors, and an occasional encounter with nocturnal mammals.

Day 2: Sandoval Lake

We will have a delicious breakfast to begin our walking to Sandoval Lake, this hike is approximately an hour through virgen jungle where we  can appreciate a high diversity of plant communities. (cedar, mahogany, palms, etc..) fauna (alligators, giant otters, piranhas, paiche), We'll have lunch during the trip and those who choose can take advantage of the opportunity to have a swim. Afterwards enjoy lunch to return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Taricaya Project

After having a good breakfast we will go in our boat to the Taricaya Project , during this trip the guide will show us about how this project works in the protection, conservation and river turtles ( Podocnemsis unifilis ), which are endangered. After lunch we'll go on a jungle walk along winding paths and a hanging bridge (100m long/60m high), while we study and learn about the Amazon's native animals and medicinal plants. Dinner will be back on the inn. You will have the option to rest or participate in evening activities.

Day 4: Parrot Clay Lick - Puerto Maldonado

This day we will get up very early and head on our boat up the river toward to the Collpa de Loros ( Collpa of The Parrots), on arrival if weather conditions permit, where you can watch hundreds of parrot and macaws of various species to feed, will remain in the lick about 1 hour and 30 minutes, is an experience you will never forget. We'll have breakfast to return to the city of Puerto Maldonado.
