Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

Day 1: Cusco – Racca – Soqma Waterfalls – Korimarca

The day starts with a lot of energy. We leave Cusco early heading to Racca, where the hike begins. The first stop is at Ñaupa Iglesia, an enigmatic Inca temple full of mystery. Then, we continue to the community of Soqma and the imposing Perolniyoc waterfalls, a natural spectacle perfect for epic photos. Later, we explore the archaeological site of Rayanpata before arriving at Korimarca, where we will spend the night under a starry sky.

Day 2: Korimarca – Inti Punku – Choquetacarpo

After waking up with a coca tea and a replenishing breakfast, we begin an exciting climb to the Charkahuaylla pass (4450 m), with views of the majestic Andean peaks. After lunch, we continue towards Inti Punku, the legendary Sun Gate, an ancient Inca checkpoint with impressive panoramic views. We close the day in Choquetacarpo, our camp at 3600 m.

Day 3: Choquetacarpo – Inca Quarry – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

The adventure continues with a three-hour hike to the Cachicata Quarry, an Inca site where the enormous stones that were later transported to Ollantaytambo were sculpted. For lunch, a feast awaits us: the traditional Pachamanca, an Andean barbecue cooked underground. Afterwards, we head to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
