During our full-day tour, we will begin by visiting the historic pier and seaside town of Cerro Azul before venturing into the countryside of Lunahuaná. Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
Day 1:
Lima - Lunahuana - Lima
Departure from Lima and drive to Cañete (04:15 AM – 05:00 AM): Pickup from designated boarding locations in Lima in our comfortable tourist transport. We begin our journey south along the Pacific coast.
Visit to Cerro Azul Beach Resort: Arrival at the historic pier of Cerro Azul in Cañete. We will enjoy panoramic ocean views, time for photos, local crafts shopping, and the option to join a basic ATV circuit or beginner-level water activities along the shore.
Incahuasi and arrival in Lunahuaná: We continue along the valley route, making a brief stop opposite the Incahuasi Inca archaeological site to learn about its history. Upon arrival in Lunahuaná, we will visit its main square (Plaza de Armas), the colonial Santiago Apóstol Church, and the San Juan viewpoint.
Free Gastronomic Lunch: Free time for lunch at the valley's finest countryside restaurants. We will recommend the best spots to try iconic regional dishes such as the famous sopa seca lunahuaneña (seasoned noodles with chicken/meat), duck with rice, fresh trout, or fresh river shrimp served in various styles (garlic sauce, chupe chowder, deep-fried, spicy, or hot-stone grilled).
Adventure Sports (Optional): Dedicated time for white water rafting on the Cañete River or ziplining over the valley for travelers looking to add an extra rush of adrenaline to their day.
Valley City Tour, Beekeeping Center & Winery (2:00 PM): Tour through the picturesque village of Catapalla, the traditional hanging bridge, and a local honey farm to taste pure honey and pollen. To top off our afternoon, we will visit a traditional winery for a guided tour and complimentary tasting of various artisanal wines and Peruvian piscos.
Return to Lima: Board our tourist transport for the return trip to the capital, ending the tour at the original pickup locations.

Just 11 kilometers from the Plaza de Armas, the historic district of San Jerónimo celebrates its patron saint every late September: 5 days of processions, 26+ dance troupes, a food fair, and a 16th-century church built on an Inca huaca. In 2016, it was declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation. Most tourists don't know it exists; many young locals don't either. This year it starts on Monday, September 28, with the main day on Wednesday 30.
Third Sunday of September. 9 a.m. The pututos sound and 1,500 students from the National School of Sciences of Cusco set off in procession from their school to the Sacsayhuamán esplanade. They are going to compete — for real — in speed, strength, and endurance tests that replicate those the Tahuantinsuyo used to determine who was ready for adulthood. It is not a choreography. It is the Warachicuy, and in 2025 it was declared a Cultural Interest.
Every September 14, thousands of people walk 48 kilometers from the city of Cusco to the sanctuary of the Señor de Huanca, in the district of San Salvador, province of Calca, at 3,100 m.a.s.l.
