Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
Day 1:
Rainbow Mountain
We will start our adventure by picking you up at 3:30am from your hotel or the main square (dependingt on he location of your hotel). To take the road to the south of Cusco and to the Qollasuyo.
During the journey we will be accompanied by wonderful views of the Peruvian Andes and picturesque villages like Checacupe which stands for its beautiful colonial church and its bridge that still maintains its bases from Inca era. Other towns that we'll cross during our trip of about three hours will Pitumarka, and Chilca Pampachiri to finally reach the place where we'll start the trek.
Already in Pampachiri our guide will give us some tips for our hike of about 4 hours of climbing to the mountains in which we will experiencing climate changes as we go uphill until reach the mountain "Vinicunca" or Rainbow Mountain.
During the trip also we will see the flora and fauna of the Andes as vizcachas, eagles, llamas, alpacas and others like deer and puma that are rarely seen. Also on the way we will enjoy wonderful views as the mountains surrounding the road change color as we move to finally get to the Rainbow Mountain which is a mixture of all colors.
We will have time to enjoy this wonderful place, and take our photos then begin the descent to Pampachiri and after lunch we'll return to Cusco.
