Day 1:
Full-Day Montaña de 7 Colores (Vinicunca) Tour
04:00 AM – 04:30 AM – Hotel Pickup & Drive to Cusipata:
Early morning pickup directly from your hotel in Cusco. Board our comfortable tourist vehicle to head south toward the town of Cusipata (approx. 2 hours drive).
06:30 AM – Nutritious Breakfast in Cusipata:
Arrive at our local restaurant in Cusipata to enjoy a fresh buffet breakfast, fueling up with energy for the trek ahead.
07:30 AM – Drive to Phulawasipata Trailhead:
Continue along a dirt road for 1 hour to Phulawasipata (4,600m / 15,090ft), the official trail checkpoint and starting point for the hike.
08:30 AM – Uphill Trek to Vinicunca Summit:
Begin a guided uphill hike (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours / 3.5 km). As you trek, enjoy close encounters with grazing llamas and alpacas under the shadow of majestic Mount Ausangate.
10:30 AM – Arrival at Montaña de 7 Colores Viewpoint (5,200m / 17,060ft):
Reach the main summit overlook of Vinicunca. Enjoy free time (approx. 45 min to 1 hour) to take photos, listen to your guide explain the mineral formations, and marvel at the surrounding Red Valley.
11:30 AM – Downhill Hike to Phulawasipata:
Begin the return walk down the same trail back to the vehicle station at Phulawasipata (approx. 1 hour walk).
01:30 PM – Buffet Lunch in Cusipata:
Board the vehicle back to Cusipata for a warm, satisfying buffet lunch made with fresh local ingredients.
03:00 PM – Return Journey to Cusco:
Board our transport for the return drive to the imperial city.
04:30 PM – 05:00 PM – Arrival in Central Cusco:
Arrive in Cusco with drop-off near Plaza de Armas or your hotel. End of services.
