Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
Day 1:
Buggies and Sandboarding in Huacachina
Meeting Point and Buggy Boarding: We will meet at the designated spot along the Huacachina Lagoon to board our 4x4 dune buggies, specially fitted with roll cages and multi-point safety seatbelts.
Adrenaline-Pumping 4x4 Buggy Ride: We venture into the desert at thrilling speeds, cruising up and down massive sand mountains that shape the Ica desert landscape for an exhilarating roller-coaster-like experience.
Sandboarding Instruction and Practice: We make strategic stops at the crest of the dunes. Our guide and instructor will provide safety guidelines and demonstrate proper sandboarding techniques (lying down *lay-down style* or standing up for experienced riders). You will slide down slopes of varying heights and gradients. After each run, the buggy will be waiting at the bottom to take you to the next dune.
Panoramic Oasis Viewpoint and Sunset: We make a special stop on a prime dune ridge to take in a spectacular panoramic view of the palm-fringed Huacachina Oasis. This is the perfect moment to capture stunning photos of the desert sunset.
Return to Huacachina and Free Time: We finish the circuit by riding down towards the oasis. You will have free time to stroll around the lagoon boardwalk, explore local shops, or take additional photos before wrapping up the activity.

General Recommendations
- Proper attire and footwear: Wear closed-toe shoes or sneakers (the sand gets hot and coarse) and comfortable athletic clothing or shorts. Avoid wearing loose sandals or flip-flops while sandboarding.
- Sun and sand protection: Wear UV-protection sunglasses to shield your eyes from airborne sand, apply high-SPF sunscreen, and bring a bandana or neck gaiter to cover your mouth during fast buggy rides.
- Secure your belongings: Keep smartphones, cameras, and wallets in a tightly fastened cross-body bag or small backpack. Due to the sudden movements of the buggy, loose items in pockets can easily get lost in the sand.
