Day 1:
Puerto Maldonado – Local Market – Monkey Island – Kayaking & Caiman Safari
Arrival & Local Market Visit: Pickup upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado. Visit the bustling local market to taste traditional rainforest flavors during lunch.
River Boat to Ecolodge: Transfer to the river port for a 1-hour motorized boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to our ecolodge. Welcome drink and check-in to your rustic bungalows.
Monkey Island Excursion: Take a boat ride to Monkey Island to spot capuchin, squirrel, and spider monkeys roaming freely in their natural sanctuary.
Kayaking & Night Caiman Safari: Sunset kayaking along the river, followed by an evening boat excursion to spot caimans along the riverbanks. Enjoy a traditional dinner and optional night walk. Overnight.

Tree Canopy Ziplining: Hearty breakfast followed by an adrenaline-fueled zipline circuit 35 meters (115 ft) above ground with professional safety harnesses. Return to the lodge for lunch.
Trek to Lake Sandoval (Tambopata Reserve): Guided 1.5-hour walk through primary rainforest into Tambopata National Reserve.
Wooden Canoe Lake Cruise: Board traditional wooden rowboats to search for rare giant river otters, black caimans, paiche fish, and macaws. Enjoy time to swim in designated river areas (weather permitting).
Return & Dinner: Walk back to the ecolodge for dinner and overnight stay in your bungalow.
