Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

Day 1: Puno - Cusco

07:00am

Our tour begins with the pickup of our passengers from their respective hotels to direct ourselves to the Terminal.

07:30am

We'll depart from the bus terminal at this time and head for our first n we will visit: Pukara located at 3990 meters above sea leave. Here we will have a guided tour of the museum.

08:30am

At this time we'll arrive at La Raya in Puno, the highest point of our journey, from where we'll enjoy striking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Andean range. You'll also see some of the most iconic creatures of the Andes- grazing herds of llamas and elegant vicuñas.

12:30pm

Stop in Sicuani for a delicious buffet lunch characteristic of the area in Las Tunas restaurant.

2:30pm

Our next stop is Raqchi Archeological Complex, an Inca site along the Urubamba River whose main section are the ruins of the huge Temple of Wiracocha with walls and columns of stone and adobe, living quarters, storehouses, baths, and fairground. Our guide will explain the history and significance of the ruins.

3:30pm

Lastly, we'll stop in Andahuaylillas (Copper Field) to visit San Pedro Chapel, colloquially referred to as the "Sistine Chapel of America". Its simple adobe exterior and rustic surroundings contain a stunningly ornate interior, where every surface is covered in rich murals with Amazonian gold-leaf. In addition, a collection of prized art from the Cusco School has cemented its reputation as a colonial art treasure.
