Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
DAY 1:
Qorikancha - Plaza de Armas - Saqsayhuaman- Cusco
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel, heading to the starting point of the Inti Raymi ceremony. The ceremony starts at the sacred Temple of Qoricancha, where the Inca makes his first appearance and performs the initial rituals, giving thanks to the Sun God for the harvests and fertile lands.
Then, the Inca proceeds to Cusco’s Main Square (Plaza de Armas) and later continues to the fortress of Sacsayhuamán. Our transportation will take you there, where the main ceremony dedicated to the Sun God takes place. Sacsayhuamán is the most magical place to enjoy this event.
Here, the four regions of the empire (the “suyos”) present their traditional dances to the rhythm of Andean music. The Inca, together with his curacas (leaders of each region), performs a ritual offering that includes the symbolic sacrifice of a black llama to the Sun God.
At the end of the ceremony, our private transportation will take you back to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.

If you're lucky enough to visit the land of the Incas in June, you'll instantly realize that Cusco brings more to the table than just music, traditional dances, and colorful parades. There’s something else in the air—a rich, savory, and roasted aroma wafting from the main plazas, drawing both locals and travelers to lively, makeshift dining tables.
After four years and US$1.5 million, the restoration of the Church of San Pedro in the remote Andean village of Andahuaylillas, a priceless colonial art treasure showcasing the "Andean Baroque", has been completed. With the backing of the World Monuments Fund and regional and national authorities, restorers tackled the ill effects of earthquakes, shoddy restorations, centuries of grime and even bat droppings.
