Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

Day 1: Rurrenabaque - Pampas (Bolivian Tropical Marshlands)

We'll meet in Rurrenabaque at the agreed-upon time and head off in our jeep 4x4 to Caracoles Lodge on the Yacuma riverside. We'll reach the eco-lodge in time for a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we'll set off for a river tour by motorized canoe which will allow you to see the abundant wildlife which gathers by the riverside. We'll keep our eyes peeled for caimans and alligators, different types of monkeys and tropical birds, capybaras, turtles, and other animals.

Day 2: Pink Dolphins & Piranhas: Exploring the Pampas

After breakfast we'll set off along on an exploratory morning walk through the wetlands in search of anacondas. We'll head back to the lodge to lunch and a midday rest. Afterwards we can fish for the infamously toothy piranhas and swim with the famous pink river dolphins. In the evening there'll be a night walk designed to introduce you to the area's nocturnal life, such as the caimans, whose eyes shine in the darkness.

Day 3: Monkeys & Fishing: Exploring the Pampas

On our third day we'll set off by boat, observing the wildlife en route, until we reach an area where squirrel monkeys gather. After lunch back at the lodge and a rest in the hammocks during the midday heat, we could either explore the wetlands more by foot in search of different monkey species or we could go fishing, depending on group preference.

Day 4: Pampas - Rurrenabaque
